Like the *pinang fruit sliced into two...
|
|
Well when last time it was my parents who would always be attending the wedding invitations of their contemporaries, nowadays it looks like it's beginning to be my turn to do that duty...
Last weekend was packed with two invitations on each day while another is in queue tomorrow...
Congratulation to my secondary and junior college friend Su'ud on his marriage with Raihaana on the 9th of March...
Went there as a guest and managed to get this shot of him with his lovely bride...
May you both be blessed by Him always...

Flower Power ~ Peace No War

More flowers and a complete update coming soon...
Update: Sentosa Flowers 2008 @ Sentosa Island (Pulau Blakang Mati), Sunday 17 February '08
Many firsts for me as it was my first time going on a photography outing with my cousin who's a veteran photographer himself. First time meeting his buddies who are seasoned photographers as well. So as a noob, I was quite awestruck when they commenced their 'photo talk'. Sometimes I couldn't help but feel amazed with their repertoire of photography skills that they had honed from past experiences. Well, I guess my journey in this is still a long distance away and hopefully with their guidance I'll be able to attain at least a bit of their craft. Pray for me...
And before I forget, I received the opportunity for the first time to pair up my miss diforti with the formidable AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED, which belongs to my cousin. Have a look at the photos below though I certainly didn't do justice to this mighty lens...

From my previous visits to KLCC, I didn't manage to pay a visit to the As Syakirin Mosque in the vicinity of KLCC, so it was really a blessing to step into this beautiful mosque placed at the other end of the vast KLCC Park to perform the Subuh prayer. With the aid of direction from a helpful cleaner lady from the KLCC train station, who was initially bemused when asked where the As Syakirin Mosque,
"Kak, masjid As Syakirin kat mana?" I inquired.
"Apa dia?" she replied with a tinge of confusion in her voice.
"Masjid KLCC?" I repeated.
"Oh!!! Haa.. kluar sini. Jalan terus. Jumpa Isetan. Jalan terus." she answered with a smile.
"Terima kasih yer."

A direct line of sight to the soaring KL Tower from the view of the hotel. Though the lonely KL Tower was constructed much earlier than the 'twin brothers', I found it quite surprising that I hadn't get the chance to visit it. Maybe next time Insya-Allah.

I came all the way to KL for this. Not as much as riding it but to immortalise it as a picture before it stops spinning at the end of the year or so I thought. After seeing all the beautiful images of the Eye On Malaysia in the fotopages of others, the EOM became the focal point of my visit. But it was really a long and arduous walk from the Titiwangsa train station and the lack of signage to the EOM didn't help. But the sight of the lit-up structure against the ultramarine sky lighted up the weary countenances. And for the ride itself, I literally froze in my seat as I'm an acrophobic. Enough said. But to those who plan of visiting the EOM, the deadline of its closure has been extended to the next Merdeka Day in 2008. Lucky you. Or you might want to give the Singapore Flyer @ http://www.singaporeflyer.com.sg/ a try.
